A calendar celebrating the Wild Horses of Assateague Island.
We have created a Calendar of the Wild Horses of Assateague Island. A collection of Assateague Island photographs taken over the years by Bill Swartwout Photography make up each of the twelve months of the year. The finished calendar has flip-open pages, a wire binding and is hole-punched for ease of hanging. These are available in the most popular “medium” size at 11 inches wide and 8 1/2 inches high when folded. When open and hanging on a wall the size is 11″ wide and 17″ high. If you are interested in purchasing one or more of these calendars check the very top of the ORDER PAGE to see if there is a current sale running (there often is).
This is not a collection of resort area landmarks, favorite places and/or activities. The Assateague Pony Calendar is strictly “back to nature” in content, with photographs of a select few of these wonderful creatures. When you buy one of these to hang on a wall or put on your refrigerator you will be able to enjoy the wonder of visiting Assateague Island – all year ’round.

Great calendar Bill. It looks like it would be perfect for a horse lover for the coming year!
Thank you, Steve.
Bill; Great Calendar.
I appreciate that, Bob.
Great pony calendar, I know a few who would love it
Thank you, Annie, be sure to share it.
Beautiful calendar Bill. Wild horses are fascinating animals. I could and have spent hours just observing and photographing them.
Thank, Bob. Yes, they are fascinating and I have spent a “few” hours there at the Assateague Island National Seashore (AINS).
Wonderful idea and love the pony with its head just rising above the dune!
Thanks, Jim. That is one of my all-time favorite photographs of one of the ponies.
I hope to get some wild horse shots in the next year. There are some here in New Mexico and some not to far in Arizona.
I really love the shot you chose for you calendar cover.
Thank you, Rebecca. These are, indeed, fascinating and beautiful animals.
